Spittal Road Farms Fall Classic

It is now time to make a few after event notes which begins with a special thank you to Ron M for assisting in setting out flagging and then control placement on two different days. To Mark S for vetting some controls, to Mark, Pam and Chelsea for picking up some controls; to Cheryl for Registration and Cheryl and Pam for sorting out the recording program MeOS to accommodate the different variations designed into the course planning; to Brian in assisting with parking and Beginner support; to Heather for bringing in the new orienteering clocks and setting them up at the start and finish. It takes a family to now put on an orienteering event.

Then it would be remiss not to say thank you to Hobby Horse Farm and the Basinet family for their support in allowing us to map and have an event in this beautiful terrain.

A very special THANK YOU to all those who came to this event from Truro to the Halifax area to the South shore, along with the Middleton and Digby area and of course to those of the Annapolis Valley. We are getting folks from SAR groups to practice their navigation skills, super to see. Thus, we are now getting families and folks from many more areas of NS to participate in this wonderful sport and recreational activity.

And now you can also see all the different maps on the site to see what others at this event accomplished on the different courses.
